#WeeklyDevotion - Available & Usable

Available & Usable in the Master's hands. I was listening to a sermon recently and the speaker said something that hit home real good and got me thinking - "It's not enough to be available, you must be usable in God's hands. 2 Timothy 2:20 "But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel of honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.  For a long time - until recently, I've always believed that God can use anyone and anything. Picture this; God created everything and all creation is definitely at His beck and call and He can summon it to pass on His message as and when He wills. #WeeklyDevotion - Do You Know Him?

Do you know JESUS? As I was meditating on what to share on the first Weekly Devotion, I felt I needed to start from the very basics- SALVATION. This is what our relationship with Christ is anchored on. It's not as complicated as it has unfortunately been made to look. At times I listen to people talking about salvation and all the do's/don't's and the rules involved and I'm saddened cause it has been made to look unachievable yet it's simply a relationship with God that you work on daily. Good News is - it's achievable, doable and most of all it is enjoyable. God created us to enjoy fellowship with Him not to follow some rules and regulations which mostly, have no biblical basis. I was having a conversation with a friend - who was out in the Mission's field over the weekend - talking about how the evangelism experience was and the souls that gave their lives to Christ and we found ourselves reminiscing about our own journeys to salvation.
