Ever had those moments where your life flashes in front of you and you silently wonder "what the hell have I been doing!!!! Worry not, it ain't spooky :-), I get some of those reality check moments once in a while especially when I get to a crossroad and I'm faced with a make or break kinda decision. Several thoughts were doing rounds in my head this time round and I figured I need to write them down.
For starters, I don't intend to make this a super long post as these were just random thoughts that popped into my head in no particular order. Before we get to it though, kindly reflect and think about whether you are merely getting through life like a zombie or if you are actively ceasing every moment you are alive. I have made it a habit that each morning I wake up; I get out of bed, stretch and take a long deep breathe just to feel the cool air making its way down my wind pipe {Try this, I'm sure you'll love the feeling}. I whisper a gratitude prayer for the new day and make a deal with God to intentionally utilize well every single millisecond of my day.
Thing is, the next few seconds of your life/tomorrow/next week/next year are not guaranteed, all you have is now. James 4:14 "Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen in your life tomorrow. [What is secure in your life?] You are merely a vapor [like a puff of smoke or a wisp of steam from a cooking pot] that is visible for a little while and then vanishes [into thin air]. {Amplified Version}

- Procrastination - I gave up my life membership of the Procrastinators Club for good. Operate with a sense of urgency with everything you do. Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today. I love this quote by Pablo Picasso "Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone".
- You only get one shot - with life. It's not a rehearsal where you can "cut, take 2". Purpose to live each waking moment knowing fully well that there are no take 2's. Cease the moment and live it up.
- Do what you love, never give up on chasing your dreams. Your dreams may look big and terrify you but chase after them. Do your dreams look unachievable and you have no idea what to do or where to begin?
"Start now. Start where you are. Start with fear. Start with pain. Start with doubt. Start with hands shaking. Start with voice trembling, but start. Start and don't stop. Start where you are, with what you have. Just Start." Ijeoma Umebinyuo
- Be Present, show up. Quit complaining about missed opportunities and chances when all you did was sneer and brush them aside when they came along because they did not look appealing or not good enough.
