The International Women's Day celebrated on 8th March commemorates the struggle for Women's rights. The United Nations began celebrating International Women's Day in the International Women's Year 1975 and in 1977, the United Nations General Assembly invited member states to proclaim March 8th as the UN Day for Women's Rights and World Peace.
Allow me post some inspirational quotes that will encourage every single woman to believe in themselves and know that they are strong and can face any curve ball life throws their way and handle it like a true #BossLady.
Diane Mariechild, "A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform."
Eleanor Roosevelt, "A woman is like a teabag - you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water."
Elizabeth Cady Stanton, "The best protection any woman can have is courage."
Rosalind Russell, "Taking joy in living is a woman's best cosmetic."
Madame Marie Du Deffan, "Women are never stronger than when they arm themselves with weaknesses."
Melinda Gates, "A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman. but the search to find that voice can be remarkably difficult."
Maya Angelou, "You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, may it be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it."
Clare Boothe Luce, "Because I am a woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say 'She doesn't have what it takes. They will say, 'Women don't have what it takes."
Arian Dancu, "She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings."
Nancy Rathburn, "A strong woman understands that the gifts such as logic, decisiveness and strength are just as feminine as intuition and emotional connection. She values and uses all of her gift."
Sheila Murray Bethel, "One of the most courageous things you can do is identify yourself, know who you are, what you believe in and where you want to go."
Margaret Sanger, "Woman must not accept; she must challenge. She must not be awed by that which has been built up around her; she must reverence that woman in her which struggles for expression."
Finally, this write up by Molly Mahar should serve as a constant reminder that as a woman, you need to have confidence - You Are Enough! You don't need to run around for approval & recognition; you don't need to beat yourself up about being accepted. As Maya Angelou rightly said, "You alone are enough, you have nothing to prove to anybody."
