Day 3 - Grateful for Family & Friends ☺☺☺
Today I thank God for my family - both Biological & Spiritual. Thing is, you have very little say as regards which family to be born in. God makes that decision on your behalf so when you arrive on planet earth, you make do with what you have LOL. I'm glad & grateful that God chose an amazing Biological family for me. My family is my greatest support system. My number one cheerleaders. They legit hold me down. Actually we all do that for each other. Is my family perfect? Absolutely not!!! They sometimes drive me up the wall & I have sometimes so wished God allowed a trade in. If I had a dollar for the many times I have fought with my siblings I'd be very rich but guess what, they still have my back, I can still count on them unconditionally.
As for the Spiritual Family, God also chooses that one for you. Jeremiah 3:15 "And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding". When God gives you a shepherd, He also brings other sheep together under that shepherd. That put together constitutes a Spiritual/Faith Family. Faith families just help you grow in your walk with Christ and operate much like Biological families. It makes the faith walk absolutely bearable and most time fun. There's Dad, Mum & Siblings. Are the spiritual/faith families we find ourselves in perfect? Absolutely not. And as opposed to your Biological family that you can do nothing about or even change, spiritual families require a lot of effort to stay in and maintain the relationship. I'm still learning how to be part of my Faith Family with all it's ups and downs & dramas. Have I contemplated switching families, oh yes very many times but I remember God is the one who gave me the Shepherd so I have to consult before I exit. Most times I have thrown tantrums and told God how I want to move, the answer has been, NOPE so I choose to trust and just chill. But I'm super grateful that I have a faith family where I'm learning about Kingdom matters and totally enjoying my walk with God.
